The Role
The Bus Operations Lead will perform activities in accordance with company standards to accomplish the overall organizational goals. Responsibilities include serving as a ground guide for Greyhound and Flix Buses, coaching and encouraging Flix and Greyhound Drivers to remain within Bus idling Limits and helping them safely enter and exit the Terminal, safety awareness, on-time performance, and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting All Greyhound and Flix Drivers when backing and entering the station
- Coaches and encourages drivers to stay within set idling limits.
- Works in conjunction with Driver Supervisors to foster excellent on time performance
- Coordinates with Driver Supervisors when there is a bus issue in the station.
- Ensures Schedules depart on time and report issues to Driver Supervisors.
- Determines status of arriving buses and bus numbers. Determines if it is through, origin or cut-out schedule.
- Determines assigned arrival and departure gates.
- Assists Driver with boarding process.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Area Driver
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required, plus:
- 2+ years in hospitality or customer service; experience in travel terminals a plus
- Two (2) years of general knowledge of terminal operations
- Good problem solving and decision-making ability
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Basic math skills
- Bilingual candidates preferred based on local business needs
- Passion for customer service and creating innovative solutions to keep customers committed to the brand
- Good problem solving and decision-making ability
- Ability to coach effectively and drive team engagement and positivity
- Spanish fluency a plus
